Quick Review

a fun weekend readOf all the characters, Dale seems the most together. He's also the one I found myself routing for the most. As for secondary characters I have to say the pill popping, plastic surgery addict, Dolores, has got to be one of the funniest and caring secondary character in this book. As messed up as she is, there are times you just want to hug her! She's like your grandmother on acid. Every time she popped up I knew I was in for a treat. Another thing I liked about this book was that not everyone was gorgeous. It was nice to see an average guy falling in love without having to change who he really is. It's a message you don't often see in books or movies.

Great Story. The kids at the day care I taught at loved this book. I read it seven times within a two hour setting. I never got tired of reading it, though. It's a great story with a delightful ending. In some ways, it reminded me of the classic Rumplestiltskin fairy tale.
